Please start your Diet only for the “right” reasons.

The only acceptable reason for starting a diet is to enhance your sense of well-being and bring your body back into balance. Never a reason for starting a diet or permanent change in lifestyle should be the pressure of the partner and/or the private and professional environment.

Most of us are creatures of habit. We buy the same foods, prepare the same recipes, and live within our own familiar routines. But if you’re serious about eating healthier and losing weight, you need to shake it up, change those bad eating habits, and start thinking differently about your diet and lifestyle.

A look at the nutritional table reveals: 1 gram of fat has a value of 9.3 kilocalories (kcal). That means to lose 1 kg body fat, you have to burn 9300 kcal. Because of the basal metabolic rate, you need to save about 7,000 calories to lose one kilogram fat. (Note: 1 g protein = 4.1 kcal, 1 g carbohydrate = 4.1 kcal, 1 g fat = 9.3 kcal, 1 g alcohol = 7.1 kcal)

Note: 1 inch = 2.54 cm; 1 kilogram = 2.2 lbs.
